Cathy, Laura, and Dan,

Deepest sympathies and thank you for sharing Sid's journey over the last 19 months. Your love and care has certainly been a profound, positive influence in so many lives. Sid's contributions will live on forever.

Dear Cathy, Laura, Dan and Liz,

We are happy...and honored.. that we were able to spend Wednesday dinner with Sid and Cathy.  We will treasure this time.

We are saddened to learn of Sid's passing and, at the same time, happy that Sid is no longer suffering with this dreadful disease.

Sid gave the medical and scientific communities all that he could to learn more about how this disease and its treatments affect people...the patients and their families.  Your family might want to think about publishing Sid's journal entries at some point.  These should become required reading for all medical students and doctors as well as nurses and others who treat or will treat patients with pancreatic cancer.

Sid, may you rest in peace!

Cathy, Laura, Dan and Liz, may you find comfort in the memories of good times that you have spent with Sid over the years.  Sid was a wonderful man and an inspiration to many of us!  We love you, Sid!

I was so sorry to read this message. I have said many times how much I valued the blog and how amazing Sid and the whole family were in dealing with this for the past year and a half. It is an honor to have known Sid and to have worked with him.
