Dear Cathy and family,

My prayers have been with Sid and all of you through this difficult journey and especially now as his life here comes to a physical close. He will, however, live on in memories and the way he has touched the lives of so many people. I wish I could find words
to lighten your hearts at this time of loss and hope all your wonderful memories of happy times will give you some of that comfort.

Cathy, I just became aware of Sid's passing; I am very sorry for your loss.  Sid taught me so much as a professor/advisor, and I am privileged to have known him.  He provided patience and encouragement for me through a couple of rough times--When he listened and gave that wry smile it helped motivate me to keep going and try harder to 'get it right'.  Please know that you, Laura, and Dan have my deepest sympathy.

I miss the inspiration I would constantly find on this site (Caring Bridge).  And I'm certain we all miss Sid.  Thanks for sharing his story and strength.  Cathy, Laura and Dan; I hope you're doing as well as is possible.  My thoughts and prayers continue for Bacons and Kittelsons everywhere.
